Day 5

GOOOOOOOODNESS... it's been a while since my last post.

TODAY WAS AN EFFING GOOD DAY, FRIENDS! (and right in the middle of a turd of a week...)

Well, I don't know... this week hasn't been SO terrible... We had the Gap show at the Parks Mall in Arlington on Thursday and that was awesome. REALLY enjoyed doing that. We were actually asked to do it again in September so, I'm looking forward to doing that again.

Today I woke up with the family and we went to eat lunch at one of my FAVORITE restaurants of all time... Pizza Getti... located in the heart of the Ghetto... but the best pizza I've ever eaten. Without a doubt.

So then we headed over to the Goodwill store where everything was mostly boring except for this Electronic Organ I found. I plugged it in and played it in the middle of goodwill... It was fun... while it lasted anyway. Unfortunately, I forgot my wallet at home and mom wouldn't spot me so it remains in the possession of GW.

Anyway, then we were all gonna go bowling which I was STOKED about cause I'm a pretty kick butt bowler and I haven't been in forever... but over that time period that I haven't been, the prices have SKYROCKETED (to use a gross cliche). 5.50 per game per person... then 4 dollars for shoes per person... that puts one afternoon of bowling at like 65 bucks... which we were not really game for. BUT, we ended up going SKATING... like... 6th grade style... at the skating rink... man that took me back. As lame as it was to be back in the place where I hung out for all of 5th and 6th grade, my family and I had an AWESOME time... we REALLY connected as a family which rarely gets to happen. SO glad we went.

Any establishment rockin' SEVEN disco balls is okay in my book.

Then I finished off the night talking to the love of my life. WHICH I find is so cool that I am reminded every now and then how incredibly lucky I am to have her... She is so great and amazing and unbelievable. Not to mention the most beautiful girl. It's a great feeling to be in love with your best friend. She got her hair cut and colored by her awesome sister tonight and it looks KILLER... for those of you who don't know Am, she doesn't wear her hair straight... ALWAYS curly... and all of a sudden here it is straight... and she's just as smokin' as always! She amazes me. Thank you, God.

WELL, safe to say it's been an AWESOME day... REALLY enjoyed it... GREAT GREAT times.

For those of you who are reading this, I hope you enjoyed it. :) I know I enjoyed writing it.

Goodnight, pals.

Ricky

p.s.- I love good days.

Day 4

GOOD MORNING!

Well, I'm at a point in my life where I've been feeling very unproductive and worthless and just overall crappy. But, I decided to change all that. I've felt that way because I've been lazy, boring, and well... unproductive. BUT, I'm excited because it's within my own control to change that. I'm on my way to doing this. I'm going to read my bible WAY more often, wake up earlier, keep myself in shape, try to take better care of the relationships in my life, and HOPEFULLY FIND A JOB!!

Only 16 more days!

Well, I've got things to do! A life to live!

(again, no one is reading this but, what the hell... I can pump myself up if I want, right? Say yes... Yes.)

God is love.

Ricky

p.s... I might be editing another silly video later so if I do, I'll be posting it up here... you know how i do.

Day 3

SO, I skipped a day... but again... who noticed? No one... haha. Today was UGH... just not really ANYTHING to be excited about today. I spent several hours on Defensive Driving... DISgusting. I think I've said it every OTHER time I've gotten a ticket in my life... but, I seriously have learned my lesson... now, I stop for like 45 seconds at stop signs and use cruise control even in like 15 miles per hour speed zones.

I'm still desperately trying to find a job. If you are reading this and DO pray... Please pray for me that by the Grace of God, I may find work. So many expenses in the coming days and I have absolutely no money. I am trusting that God will take care of the insecurities and anxieties that I stress myself out with from day to day.

This week has been pretty slow... reallllly slow. I have literally done NOTHING. I went to rehearsal last night and that was without a doubt the highlight of my week. Because other than that... I haven't GONE anywhere... haven't DONE anything... haven't SEEN anyone. I seriously get excited when I have an errand to run because it gives me something to do. Very sad. You could say that I'm looking forward to Florida in two and a half weeks. I miss Am. I'm just tired now... like all the time. I'm going to wake up early tomorrow and get things done. So that I don't sleep my life away. I think I'll feel much better about my current situation if I'm a little more active. I'm just gonna FIND things to do. Looking forward to it.

I'm currently watching The Discovery Channel's "Yellowstone: Battle For Life". If I were an elk I wouldn't be stressed out about finding a job or paying off tickets... But, I guess worrying about a pack of wolves eating you or your family is pretty stressful too. So, I guess there's no escaping it. I'm tired.

Goodnight.

Ricky

I can't wait to get back to this.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. Day 2

Well, well, well...

Welcome to day number 2 of blog city... stupid. Anyway, today was pretty alright. I had a pretty slow day. Got my brakes fixed finally thanks to MasterTech Auto Center. Those guys hooked it up. But, tonight had a pretty lame start. Clashing with my mother as usual. Ugh. One of our worst... BUT, I did watch a movie with my lovely girlfriend... don't laugh... cause it'll sound stupid... but, it was pretty funny... 17 Again. Zac Efron is surprisingly very funny... Does a great job. So does Leslie Mann. Who, I just found out recently, is Judd Apatow's wife (which I think is pretty cool). Anyway, good movie. I think I laughed more than Amber. haha...

Musically it's been an aweeesome night. Last night I got the new Between The Trees album and spent this morning exploring that. Love it. And then tonight I found a new project called Anchor & Braille consisting of Aaron Marsh (Copeland) and Steven Christian (Anberlin). The project's debut is titled "Felt" and I'm really enjoying it. It's a really cool blend of the two sounds. Also on the musical menu tonight was the new Thrice record, "Beggars". I'm seriously enjoying this too. Thrice finally found what they're good at. And finally, I'm CURRENTLY listening to Iron and Wine's latest, "Around The Well". I love this band. So different and new musically. No body does the same thing. Greatness.

So, I'm going to rant a little about how I don't really think ANYONE is going to read this... if anyone... MAYBE my girlfriend but, I bet even SHE won't read it... hahaha... It's probably not interesting to anyone. But, writing what's on my mind really makes me feel at ease and I'm liking it. For someone to read your personal blog, you've gotta be really interesting... cause I don't think people would spend time reading everything you have to say if they didn't think you were pretty cool. WHICH proves my point... Nobody listens to me when I SPEAK much-less when I'm typing it all out... hahaha... Oh well. If anyone reads it, cool. If not, I'm okay with that! I'm doing it for the therapeutic side of things.

Friends... I'm going to end my night with some more of this Iron and Wine, a cold bottle of water, and a sweet text message to the woman I'm in love with. Goodnight.

I'll leave you with these sweet pictures from JSG Photography from the Charlie show at The Prophet Bar last week. Enjoy.

We are Charlie.

Last minute preparations.

The prettiest fan of all.

Nice work, Jeremy. Thanks again.

Day 1

So, I've never really had a blog. Nor have I ever really read anyone's blog before. BUT, I figured it'd be a good way to keep my brain working and keep my friends updated on my life. So, let's try something new...

Amber just left dallas... She was only in town for like 4 days which was ridiculous... we had an amazing trip but the length sucked. We went to Ghengis Grill... (one of our new favorites) and here's a little glimpse of that adventure...
video

So, that's the first time I've ever used iMovie... pretty pathetic but, I'll get better. Anyway, the trip was awesome and I'm so stoked to get back to Orlando to see Ms. Jackson again. I'll be there for TWO WEEKS... I'm counting down the days... 21

So, I'm not sure if anyone will even see this but, if you do, thanks a lot for caring! I'll do my best to keep it updated!

Love you, guys.
